Recent work, anonymized.
Residential computer stability diagnosis
Situation: Recurring freezes on an older Dell desktop.
Investigation: Reviewed storage health, memory, drivers, malware, OS stability, and used an alternate boot environment to help distinguish hardware instability from OS or driver problems.
Recommendation: Applied available driver updates, established follow-up and escalation plan, and identified Windows reinstallation as a possible next step if instability continued.
Aging Surface keyboard and performance investigation
Situation: Older Microsoft Surface with unreliable detachable keyboard connection and slow performance.
Investigation: Cleaned and tested connector, reduced unnecessary startup activity, made safe performance adjustments, and evaluated replacement options.
Recommendation: Suggested wireless keyboard and mouse as an economical workaround and discussed replacing the aging device as a longer-term option.
